Software and hardware
will never stop improving and with increase in improvements, comes the great
weight of expectation. Deadlines and budgets have become smaller putting
animators up against time, especially in creative ad agencies in Delhi. The audiences demand
more sophisticated performances with almost every animation in the market and
its.
As a creative ad agency in Delhi, we have put together a few tips that will help you not only to
save time and meet deadlines but also prove extremely helpful for you in the
long run in making progress in your career.
So, without further ado,1. Do a life drawing class :-
We understand that as animators you may never work with real life
proportioned figures but knowing the rules will help you break them and will
make all your creations look way more realistic.
2. Understanding Movement :-
The movement of a character or an element could be the making and
breaking point in making you creation realistic. Details help sell a shot to
the audience. For e.g. The way fingers curl up when a fist is made.
3. Usage of morph Targets :-
It's
not all about the bones. Building a collection of facial expressions, hand and
leg positions or even neck movements that you can control with simple sliders
is fast, powerful and effective. Morphs increase scene file sizes and memory
overheads, but on a deadline they can really speed up your workflow.
4. Secondary Motion :-
Secondary motion is extremely important in making an animation more
realistic and believable. It should be the last stage, but should never be
neglected.
5. Learn to Rig :-
Understanding the rigging process and mechanics is key. Although, you may never have to do it but knowing the limits of a rig enables you to ask for changes from the person who does it.
6. Use Dynamics To Save Time :-
Dynamics can produce great results. Set up features of your characters to
react dynamically to interaction with props while moving. This will save time
because you will not be animating every movement.
7. Loosen Up When Animating Contact :-
Don’t key the whole body at the point of contact. On most actions, mainly faster ones, the instant of contact won’t be captured on 24 fps. More importantly, you’ll bias the movement towards culminating at the moment of contact, and that will flatten your arcs. The importance lies in treating each phrase like its own shot. Your timeline should only display the phrase you're working on. Always focus on creating a beginning, middle and end to the idea being animated.
